The design is composed of a yard positioned at the centre and the other units are positioned around the yard. With the help of massic movements, different functions are realized in the construction. ‘Student-Centred Areas’ have been determinant at the designing process of the structure. The yard positioned at the centre of the design emulates Seljukian Tradition and the functions surrounding the yard are projected as social areas. The lower elevations of the structure are mostly allocated to classrooms, amphitheatres and students’ social areas, and the lecturers’ rooms are located at the upper levels. Thus, a vertical separation has been created between students’ and lecturers’ areas and isolated environments are formed. Students and lecturers are able to reach the structure using both the alley and the vehicle road at the north side. The structure has 25000m2 of area of usage and has been in service since 2011.
